From 25 October, when you request waxes only from your moulds, this will now cost £1.50 per wax. If you then return them to us for casting, we will deduct the £1.50 from the casting charge.
Please note, that you must include the invoice number relating to the original waxes in your instructions. If you do not include this number, no deductions will be made.
As you have probably heard, Cooksons have withdrawn Eco Silver from their range. Basically all their standard silver is made with recycled fine silver and to charge extra for Eco Silver is perhaps a little cheeky.
However, Betts are producing a quality product using reclaimed x-ray plates to give an alloy with 935 parts per 1000. So, from now on we are going to use this as our Eco Silver. The good news is that it appears to be slightly cheaper, and will still assay as Sterling.
I hope you approve of this as it is a genuine eco product using recycled fine silver – no messing. We approve, just carry on as normal and we will use the new metal.
We have noticed that there are many of our customers with unused credit notes on their accounts – did you know can use these to pay any invoices? For example, if your invoice comes to £10, and your credit is for £5, simply pay the balance of £5. This will keep your accounts up to date.
If it’s made of metal – when we then produce a rubber mould and inject wax in – or if it’s a wax from your own cad cam design, we can stick these to a central sprue, pour investment plaster round, and that’s the first bit.
